Sedation Dentistry

moonMore Testimonials from our Patients

Sedation dentistry has changed my life! I had not visited a dentist in almost two years and was in danger of causing permanent damage to my teeth and gums. Dr. Northen, Januari, and the rest of the staff were able to perform several visits worth of crowns, sealing, periodental work, and fillings in a single visit. I had absolutely no pain or anxiety with sedation dentistry - It was actually very pleasant! Thank you all!.

I was really worried about getting my wisdom teeth out because of all the horror stories that I had heard about oral surgery. I hate pain, of course, so I avoided the operation for almost an entire summer. Finally, my mother helped me to get the courage to go in and take care of my wisdom teeth. To my suprise, the surgery went so smoothly I couldn' remember it happening. There was no pain then, or the entire week after. I would recommend IV sedation to anyone worried about oral surgery.

I felt very comfortable with the surgery and the way that Dr. Northen told me he would go about doing it. Dr. Northen and his team were very professional. The thing that made me far most comfortable was that I have known Dr. Northen for many years. After knowing this made me confident that he would do an awesome job.

I was terrified of going to the dentist before going to Dr. Northen. His genuine concern for me and the care I've received from his team has made me come back.

My family will continue using his office for as long as possible.

My last dental visit was 22 years ago; I avoided dental care because of fear. The whole team understood my fear and didn’t make me feel bad or stupid. The actual experience was a little scary but manageable. Dr. Northen is just such a nice guy and really seems to care about his work. Lois and the assistants are wonderful and kind. I am so relieved to actually have a dentist.

I was called about writing a patient testimonial for your website after I had my wisdom teeth out this summer. I decided to choose sedation dentistry hoping that it would be a lot easier for me seeing as though I was so worried and uneasy.

When I was first told that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed I was very nervous and honestly quite scared. I had never had any type of surgery or even oral surgery performed on me, so having to get my wisdom teeth out was a huge deal for me. I decided to chose conscious sedation hoping that it would be a lot easier for me seeing as though I was so worried and uneasy.

Choosing conscious sedation was the best choice that I ever made! Everyone was very friendly and comforting when I came in the day of my surgery which helped me relax and calm down. I don't remember anything else besides coming in for my appointment and going home afterwards, I have absolutely no memory of the surgery at all. I was also expecting to be in pain for the next few days, but I experienced no pain at all throughout the whole healing process.

Looking back now, there was no reason for me to be nervous or uneasy. Everything turned out better than I could have ever expected. If I had to do it all over again I would do so worry-free, and I suggest this to everyone out there.

I am one who will not go to the Dentist unless I am hurting!!! For the past few years, I have had to deal with my wisdom teeth and thoughts of how I wanted to get them out: whether to be sedated or just do the numbing. My first visit to Dr. Northen's office was a year and a half ago. My decision on doing the numbing instead of the sedation dentistry for the left side first, and come back later for the right side was the way I wanted to go. Boy, what a mistake!!! My mouth was numbed for the first time, and the extraction of the upper left wisdom tooth was done. I thought, okay this might not be so bad. Wrong! As soon as the bottom wisdom tooth was being worked on, which was impacted, I felt pain and discomfort. I cried through the remainder of my procedure with plenty of other amounts of numbing being applied. The team did their best to keep me calm, but sometimes with that much pain you just want to be left alone. After prying, cutting and tugging, the wisdom tooth finally came loose and I was just half way done. Recovery was pretty painless with the help of some packing material in the socket.

The time came for my second pair of wisdom teeth to be taken out, and I was wondering how this oral surgery was going to go. I could see clearly on the Panoramic x-ray how my teeth were positioned, and decided to have the other two wisdom teeth removed with the help of I.V. Conscious Sedation. What a much better choice! I was nervous of course going into surgery, but with the support of the staff the I.V. was placed, and the meds kicked in. I was out like a light, and didn't have any memory of the surgery. I was so out of it, when the time came for me to wake-up I almost asked if things had even started yet! recovery was about the same as last time, with a little help from the packing again. If anybody would ask what the best method of treatment would be, I would say Sedation Dentistry from Dr. Northen 100%!!!
